Stop the Slime
Privacy policy for Stop the Slime
Effective date: October 15, 2026
Not legal advice for you; this is how we handle your data and your use of the game.
Stop the Slime is made by XappyTech Inc. (“we”, “us”), a company in Caledon, Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what the game collects, why, who else is involved, and how to delete your data. It applies to the game on iOS, Android and Steam. Our website has its own policy at xappytech.com/privacy.
What we collect and why
To save your progress across devices. A player ID created by Unity Authentication, linked to your Google Play Games account (Android), Game Center account (iOS) or Steam account (Steam). We use it to store your levels, coins, keys and settings with Unity Cloud Save. From that service we receive the ID it gives the game and your display name, which we show in the game. We don’t receive your email, password or payment details.
To run the game and fix problems. Device model, operating system version, language, app version and crash or error information. This helps us find bugs. We don’t use analytics or advertising tracking for this today; if we add analytics later, it will be described here under this heading.
To process purchases. If you buy something in the game, Apple, Google or Steam handle the payment. We receive a record of what was bought and when, so we can give you the item and restore it on a new device. We never see your card details.
To show ads. The free version shows ads through LevelPlay by Unity Ads. To do that, the ad provider receives your device’s advertising ID, device information, approximate location from your IP address, and how you interact with ads. On iOS you’ll be asked for tracking permission first (App Tracking Transparency). In the EEA and UK you’ll be asked for consent through a consent screen before any personalised ads are shown. You can reset your advertising ID in your device settings.
When you contact us. Your email address and whatever you send us, including screenshots, so we can reply.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your data.
- We don’t collect your precise location, contacts, photos or microphone.
- The game is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect data from them. You must be 13 or older, or the age of digital consent where you live, to play. If you believe a child has used the game, email games@xappytech.com and we’ll delete the data.
Who else is involved
- Unity Technologies (Unity Authentication, Cloud Save, LevelPlay/Unity Ads): sign-in, progress storage, ads.
- Google (Google Play Games Services, Google Play billing): sign-in and purchases on Android.
- Apple (Game Center, App Store billing): sign-in and purchases on iOS.
- Valve (Steam): sign-in and purchases on Steam.
Each has its own privacy policy, and each processes data under its own terms as well as ours.
How long we keep it
- Progress, player ID and display name: until you delete your account, then removed within 30 days.
- Purchase records: as long as needed to restore purchases and meet tax and accounting rules.
- Support emails: up to 2 years.
- Ad data is held by the ad provider under its own retention rules.
Deleting your data
You can ask us to delete your account and progress at any time: xappytech.com/games/stop-the-slime/delete-account. We confirm by email and remove the data within 30 days. Your Google Play Games, Game Center or Steam account itself is not affected; it belongs to Google, Apple or Valve.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under PIPEDA in Canada, the GDPR in the EEA and UK, and the CCPA in California), you can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how it’s used. Email games@xappytech.com. We’ll reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local privacy regulator.
Where data is processed
We’re in Canada. Our providers process data in Canada, the United States and other countries where they operate, under their own safeguards.
Changes
If we change this policy, the effective date at the top changes and, for significant changes, the game will tell you on next launch.
